Duckpin Bowling and Socializing in a Historic Setting
Experience one of the country's early examples of industrial recreation still in operation after almost 100 years.
Breaktime Bowl and Bar is located in the old Hope Webbing Textile Mill (circa 1889) in Pawtucket, RI. The duckpin bowling alley was built in the 1920’s by the company in an effort to prevent its employees from unionizing. Despite voting for unionization, the owners decided to leave the bowling alley operational indefinitely.
Urban Smart Growth bought the mill and preserved the authenticity and connection to Pawtucket’s history in such a way that people today can enjoy recreation in an identical manner to 100 years ago - without VR! Appetizers will be served and beverages of all sorts will be available.
One Final Note - Please bring your ideas! We will be discussing presentation topics for our 2019-2020 calendar, and we would welcome your suggestions.
