The Learnies - VR/AR Cookoff

Organizations are constantly exploring new technologies for learning. Are you curious what other ATD Bay Colonies members are doing to leverage Augmented Reality or Virtual Reality in their learning programs? Maybe you have a story to share. Let’s learn from each other!

Join us to learn about some new approaches, uses and tools for AR and VR. In this session, you’ll hear from several chapter members as they share their tips, tricks and stories in a fast-paced structure of short presentations.

These will include:

Earth to Mars VR

Trudy Mandeville, CEO – TCP Learning

Description: Earth to Mars VR is a learning task within a blended learning path entitled Cultivating Learning. In this learning task, participants evaluate the professional skills needed as a self-regulated learner in the workplace.

Virtual reality and how it can impact training

Kevin Gordon and Brian Leroux – Amica Insurance

Description: VR is currently being used in many creative ways at Amica.  For example, it can demonstrate a day at our corporate office.  Also, it can be used in training by adjusters to simulate a homeowner loss.  There are many helpful applications of this tool to create effective training materials.
