Join us for a unique event where you will participate in a session with Éowyn Ahlstrom, a teacher at the Mindfulness Center at Brown University, who will join us remotely and help us explore what mindfulness is and how it can be applied to help support you in your relationship with technology. The program will include a brief overview of current research findings around technology use, habitual behavior and mindfulness. There will also be a guided mindfulness practice and a brief time for small group discussion.
About the Instructor
Éowyn Ahlstrom, M.Ed., a teacher at the Mindfulness Center at Brown University, has many years of experience leading programs in mindfulness, and has been among the pioneers in bringing the highly experiential Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program into the online environment via video conference. She received her master's degree from the American College of Education, where she studied health and wellness education. Additionally, she is a certified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher, and holds the highest registry mark obtainable for yoga teachers from the Yoga Alliance. Éowyn serves on the board of directors of a meditation retreat center, Spirit Fire Retreat Center in Leyden, MA, as well as a holistic health center, the Listening Wellness Center, in Barre, MA.
