Becoming a trusty business partner to managers is essential to your TD team's success. Without a strong alliance with managers, it is difficult to gain critical support for any training and development initiatives.

Join us as we welcome long-time Bay Colonies member and co-author of the July TD Magazine cover story, Don’t Let Managers DownJamie Millard, to discuss how to apply proven skills and strategies to form valued, reliable, and impactful workforce development partnerships with managers. In addition, Jamie will provide some tips for presenting at ATD conferences and publishing posts, blogs, articles and books through ATD.

Jamie Millard served on our chapter's board of directors for over 15 years and for 3 years as a member of ATD’s National Advisors for Chapters, supporting both the Northeast and New England Areas. Jamie co-founded the ATD New England Area Conference and was the conference co-chair for 7 years, and was awarded the Therese Strik Volunteer Award for his service to the ATD Bay Colonies Chapter.

Jamie is the co-author of Becoming a Can-Do Leader: A Guide for the Busy Manager (ATD Press), and is the executive partner and co-founder of Lexington Leadership Partners, an executive coaching and customized leadership development and training firm focused on developing can-do leaders who demonstrate commitment, competence, and courage. He formerly led the national organization change management practice at CSC Consulting. Prior to that, Jamie was a partner at Harbridge House, where he led the continuous improvement and project management customized training and consulting practices. He holds a bachelor of science degree from the US Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from the University of Rhode Island. He is a proud veteran and member of the Global Educator Network with Duke Corporate Education.

Jamie and his wife Ann live in East Greenwich and are active in the sailing community. Jamie is also a part-time musician, playing acoustic guitar and singing in local clubs.
