Jane Bozarth has been a training practitioner for more than 20 years. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she also has an M.Ed. in Training and Development/Technology in Training and a doctorate in Training and Development from NC State University. Jane’s graduate work in online learning led to her current position as E-Learning Coordinator with the NC Office of State Personnel’s Human Resources Development Group. Her specialty, finding low-cost ways of creating or purchasing quality e-learning solutions, led to the publication of E-Learning Solutions on A Shoestring in 2005 (Pfeiffer). Since then she produced the first edition of this book, Better than Bullet Points, as well as From Analysis to Evaluation and her latest, Social Media for Trainers. She additionally designed The Challenge Continues Workshop package and cowrote Credibility with Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner. Dr. Bozarth is the recipient of a LOLA award, a Training Magazine Editor’s Pick Award, NASPE’s Rooney Award for innovation in government service, and an NC State University Distinguished Alumi Award. A popular conference presenter, she appears at many international industry events offering keynote, breakout, and workshop presentations. and often appears at international events such as Nielsen Communications’ Training and Online Learning Conference and Expo, the ASTD International Conference and Expo, the E-Learning Guild Online Forums and many management and professional association gatherings.
