    Whether you are a facilitator, executive, or need to convince some SMEs, the lovely and inspirational Melissa Bowler will help us build our "confidence muscle" through improv. Participants will play improv games, laugh, learn, and repeat. Be prepared to have fun, move around a bit, and be motivated. This event is in-person at the Roger Williams Park Zoo (say hello to the elephants and goats on the way to the event). Coffee and light refreshments will be served.

    Melissa Bowler is a comedian and professional development facilitator. She has worked with many businesses, universities, and hospitals across the country including AT&T, Harvard, and Montefiore. She offers speaking programs as well as interactive workshops. Her work integrates stand-up comedy, improv games, and compelling learning objectives.

In this workshop featuring Kara Lund, founder and CEO of Lund Global Coaching & Consulting and Speech Revolution, we’ll unpack the primary reasons you get hi-jacked by stress and discuss what’s required to develop peak performance, improve personal and professional relationships and bring you greater happiness and well-being.

    Kara Lund has worked extensively throughout the United States, France and in Shanghai with clients from over 20 different countries to work and compete effectively on the international stage. As a performance coach, Kara’s mission is to be of service to people committed to creating positive change in their personal and professional lives.

    With a background in voice, theatre and the performing arts coupled with an ICF approved coaching certification and extensive study in the Positive Intelligence work of Shirzad Chamine, she guides leaders to improve the effectiveness of their communication and leadership skills through positive behavior modification, self-command and performance mastery.

    It’s her personal experience in managing nerves, acting, stage presence and effective voice skills that led her to help seasoned and emerging leaders navigate uncertainty, remove blocks and tap into potential to look, feel and sound confident and credible in any situation.



Board Meetings

All chapter members are welcome to attend board meetings. Board meetings are held on the first Friday of each month (September through May), 7:30am - 9:00am Eastern. Please email president@atdbaycolonies.org at least 3 business days prior to the meeting if you plan to attend, and a Zoom link will be sent to you. In addition, board meeting minutes are provided online to all members.
